Imagine Golf
Imagine Golf is an online portal that provides Golfers with the latest news, advice, product reviews and other information from the world of Golf. The portal also provides an online community for its members to allow them to interact and discuss their games.
Imagine Golf approached us with a brief to develop the whole online community.
Project overview
The website takes for the form of an advanced Content Management System with the addition of bespoke additions that when put together form the online community aspects.
The CMS allows for continual updates to the content and supports live sport data from associated press feeds. New pages can be added to the site continuously allowing the portal to expand easily – different bespoke-templates are used to make the site vary as visitors move from page to page.
During competitions, mini-blogs and updates are left on the website by professionals and caddies.
The online community that the website provides have access to a forum (message board), a notice board (classifieds) and can leave reviews for a database of products in the equipment-reviews section of the website. Members are also informed of exclusive special offers that they receive via automated emails (controlled by the website administrators).
The website makes constant use out of Google maps to highlight courses, events and other locations that the website discusses.
All-in-all, the website is a comprehensive platform that provides Imagine Golf with all of the tools and applications they currently need and can be expanded upon as their venture grows and they think of new ideas.
