DeMontfort Fine Art approached our web design team to create a website for Doug Hyde - a top modern British artist.

The task was to create an on-brand online gallery that showcased both original and limited edition artwork – there also needed to be a series of content managed features that allowed for the broadcast of news, events and new additions to the galleries.

Project overview

The website that we designed starts with an animated and frequently updated home page that gives an immediate impression of quality in a way that is both contemporary and trustworthy.

Upon viewing the galleries each piece of work is given centre stage and the design of the site around the imagery is quite basic – the goal is to keep visitor’s eyes on the artwork.

To find out more about the artist visitors can see a new and events section that is regularly updated with tour dates, exhibitions and latest news.

Throughout the rest of the design of the website Flash is introduced to rotate/fade images and generally keep the website entertaining.
