Honeywell-Nobel Initiative
The Honeywell - Nobel Initiative (HNI) is an educational partnership between Honeywell, Nobel Web AB and Nobel Media AB, and is designed to connect university students across the globe with recipients of the world’s most prestigious award, the Nobel Prize.
The HNI approached us to discuss creating a website, and use technologies and current trends to help make the experience of using the website current, entertaining and social.
Project overview
The website that we delivered includes a completely custom design that keeps the experience of using the website fresh and easy-to-use. It includes directories of videos and links to a series of live webcasts that show lectures, talks and advice from some of the world’s finest minds.
In addition to video broadcasting the website has strong links with social networks allowing media/content to be shared/followed across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and more.
To see what online broadcasts and lectures are forthcoming there is an interactive events map that quickly details locations and key-speakers – each event is also combined with a count-down timer that helps to make people aware that the websites content is always changing.
The key features of this video directory website include:
- Custom video player and video directory
- Links to live broadcasts/webcasts
- Interactive search and event calendars
- Links to social networking features
- Google Maps Integration
- Visitor sign up and email announcements of new events
