Project overview
Wellcome Trust approached Interactive Web Solutions with a brief to develop an interactive game to help try and tackle the obesity crisis with young children.
The solution included:
- Interactive educational game built in Macromedia Flash, developed for the Wellcome Trust.
- Objective was to enable students to explore the complex interactions between genotype, socio-economic setting, upbringing, and chance in the context of obesity.
- The game involves students taking on the role of ‘virtual parent’, bringing up human-like characters called OBs in order to gain an understanding of the complex network of interactions involved in weight control.
