We start with Google Analytics which, when combined with Goals and Conversion tracking can help us to quickly identify what percentage of visitors actually place orders/get in touch. Google Analytic also helps us to monitor search engine traffic and identifies what keywords people are using to find your website, and what sites they last visited prior to finding yours.

In addition to Google Analytics, we may install a service called ClickTale - this software focuses on user-interaction and records individual visits in real time (so you can playback visits), it also combines individual visits to highlight areas for concern.

The main goal, after monitoring ClickTale, is to ensure people are using the website the most effective way - if visitors are not using the website correctly we may adjust the design to make the calls to action more prominent, or adjust the navigation to make certain pages easier to find.
