Enhance the learning experience for audiences of all ages with high quality educational resource tools. We develop solutions that are fun, entertaining and engaging for teachers and pupils.
London Gifted & Talented
London Gifted & Talented (LGT) is an education initiative funded by the Department for Education and Skills. It creates high quality e-learning resources to stretch gifted and talented students. They also work with teachers and other educators working in gifted and talented education to create innovative and interactive ways of teaching and learning.
Their resources support teaching and learning at Key Stages 1 - 5 and they have delivered over 140 online and live programmes to date, reaching more than 6000 teachers and 5000 students in about 850 schools.

Project overview
Interactive Web Solutions have worked with LGT for a number of years, most noticeably developing their main Web site. So when we were approached and asked to develop a series of educational resources, on the impact of interdependence for living organisms, we were delighted to be involved.
We developed 3 online modules:
- Adaptation: showing how living organisms adapt to survive and reproduce in their environment
- Energy transfer: demonstrating why energy transfer is so important
- Managing an ecosystem: exploring environmental change in a taiga ecosystem
The modules utilise a mixture of online and downloadable resources to make the learning experience both challenging and engaging. Developed in Flash MX, these included:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Generic algorithms
- Pathfinding
- Simulations
The resources were launched in the Natural History Museum by the grandson of Charles Darwin.
What the client had to say
Alice Sherwood, Lead project manager at LGT commented:
“IWeb were a joy to work with. Their highly creative team were able to take our ideas and concepts and turn them into reality. The end result is an excellent learning resource that is proving to be very popular with educators.”
