Science and Primary UPD8 are 2 Web sites specifically designed to make science relevant using the power of topicality. They create a bridge between science stories in the news and the national curriculum with punchy activities that deliver content with maximum engagement.
Developed by the Association of Science Education (ASE) and the Centre for Science Education (Sheffield Hallam University) the projects and sites aim to provide teachers with weekly, easy-to-use resources for class activities and lesson plans
Project overview
Science UPD8 approached Interactive Web Solutions with a brief to develop an application that would enable students to piece together a video report with their own voice over in the classroom. The application was called StoryMaker.
The solution included:
- Video editing facility
- Ability to edit audio with video
