Project overview
It was an important prerequisite that good quality teaching resources were available at the outset of the project to enable a rapid take-up of the new GCSE’s. Twenty First Century Science approached Interactive Web solutions with a brief to develop a series of interactive CD-ROMS that could be easily used by both teachers and students alike.
We developed a unique solution that enabled bespoke HTML content to be viewed via a bespoke, branded browser. Developed with Macromedia Director this approach ensured that control was kept by the teacher during the use of the resources by students.
Two versions of the CD-ROM were developed for each topic:
- Teacher version – contains both the lessons and supplementary resources
- Student version – contains just the lessons
The solution was developed to run in both in full network or stand-alone PC mode.
