Harcourt Education is an international publishing group with operations in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Southern Africa and South-East Asia. Their goal is to support teachers in their delivery of government initiatives, such as the National Literacy and Numeracy strategies.
Operating in the UK under the well known Heinemann name, Harcourt is headquartered in Oxford and employs some 900 people around the world.
Project overview
Harcourt Education approached Interactive Web Solutions with a brief to develop a series of interfaces for their Abacus Evolve Maths product.
Abucus Evolve has:
- An easy to use CD based weekly planning tool
- Hundreds of interactive pupil activities to choose from
- Creative resources to support your style of teaching, with the flexibility to incorporate your own ideas, activities and style
- Integrated ICT across resources for pupils and teachers
- Problem solving, collaboration and talk embedded throughout.
